Cambridgeshire Police announce speeding campaign
Officers across Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire will be carrying out extra speeding checks in the upcoming weeks as part of the countrywide campaign, TISPOL.
Inspector Mark Rogers said: ‘I would urge anyone to drive within the lawful speed limits. I would like to point out that it is not always appropriate to drive at the speed limit depending on the road conditions.
The limit is not a target.’
Officers will use a mixture of marked and unmarked cars to catch those breaking the limit.
During the last TISPOL speeding campaign in April, 39,231 vehicles were caught speeding in the United Kingdom.
