Caught driving while disqualified on the way home from court

A motorist banned from driving was arrested on suspicion of driving while disqualified just an hour later.

Officers found the driver had just left Southend Magistrates’ Court, where he was banned from driving for six months under the totting up procedure after pleading guilty to driving without insurance on the A127, Basildon.

The 34-year-old from North London was charged with driving while disqualified and driving without insurance and has been bailed to attend Southend Magistrates’ Court on August 14.
