A man who was so drunk he could not work out how to fill his car with fuel has been jailed just a few weeks after being released from prison.
Antony Young, who previously has 48 convictions for 163 previous offences, was spotted by a member of the public struggling to fill up his vehicle.
Young, had trouble staying on his feet and was seen driving from pump to pump as he tried to fill his car. After asking a passer by for help, the member of the publirefused and telephoned police.
Young was arrested and charged for failing to provide a specimen, driving without a license and driving without insurance.
Young pleaded guilty to all three charges at Corby Magistrates’ Court.
Young was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison for failing to provide a specimen, 12 weeks for a previous theft and 21 days for non payment of fines.
He was also banned from driving for 22 months.
