A man charged with causing the death of a 17-year-old girl by driving while under the influence of drugs, has appeared at Bedford Magistrates’ Court.
Matthew Norcott, Worcestershire, is charged with causing the death of Lara Smith after the car they and two others were travelling in was involved in a crash on the A421 in November 2011.
He is also charged with possessing with intent to supply a controlled class A drug, namely MDMA and with driving without insurance.
Norcott will appear before Luton Crown Court on July 16. He has yet to enter a plea to all three charges.
