Once you accumulate 12 points (within a 3 year period) you will automatically be banned for 6 months under the ‘totting-up’ procedure. Would you be able to cope with being off the road? Would you lose your job or business? Would you be able to pay your mortgage and bills if you couldn’t work?
Driving just a few miles per hour over the speed limit will result in 3 points and a fine. Driving 40-50% over the speed limit can result in the court imposing 6 points and a large fine. Once you reach 12 points you will be banned from driving immediately – you will not even be able to drive home from court!
Losing your licence can have disastrous consequences and this is where Marcus is able to help. He will immediately be able to halt the proceedings against you whilst he obtains all the available evidence from the police and the prosecution. If he is not provided with the correct documents then the case may never reach court. If a mistake has been made by the police or he is able to find a legal ‘loophole’ then the case may be dropped and no further action will be taken against you.
Even if you have already pleaded guilty and now face a driving ban under the ‘totting up’ system (by accumulating 12 points) Marcus is often able to convince the court that ‘mitigating circumstances’ exist and therefore you will not receive a driving ban. It is, therefore, possible to keep your licence even if you reach 12 points.
However, by taking expert legal advice now you may be able to avoid penalty points completely. The earlier you contact Marcus, the better chance he has of winning your case completely and therefore you will not receive any fine, points or ban.
For an informal discussion of your case please telephone Marcus on 07810 804464. If you would prefer not to telephone, please complete the online assessment form.
