Chelsea footballer handed six-month driving ban
Chelsea footballer Cesc Fabregas was handed a six-month driving ban at Guildford Magistrates’ Court after admitting speeding on the A3.
Staines Magistrates’ Court previously heard how Fabregas was alleged to have travelled at 110mph in a 50mph zone on the A3 in Claygate.
Initially pleading not guilty to the charge, Fabregas later changed his plea to guilty and was given six points on his driving licence. As he already had six points on his driving licence, an automatic six-month driving ban under the totting-up procedure.
The ex-Arsenal and Barcelona footballer was ordered to pay a £1,000 fine, £1,465 costs and a £100 victim surcharge.
